Yorkshire Water’s £3bn Infrastructure Programme – What It Means for Contractor Accommodation Demand Across Yorkshire

Yorkshire Water has launched early market engagement for one of the largest utility infrastructure programmes in the north of England. The proposed framework covers AMP9 and AMP10 investment cycles, running from April 2028 through to March 2038, with an anticipated spend of around £330 million per year across Yorkshire Water’s network.

The scope of works is broad and sustained. Planned activities include water and sewerage pipelines, pumping stations, treatment works, drainage infrastructure, electrical installations, maintenance programmes, and associated engineering design services. Yorkshire Water is currently inviting contractors, consultants and suppliers to respond to a market engagement survey ahead of formal procurement, with responses due by 12 August 2026.
