Aire Park Leeds: Planning Approved for Next Phase of South Bank Development

Leeds City Council has approved plans for a further 116 apartments at Aire Park, Vastint’s 24-acre mixed-use development on the former Tetley Brewery site in the South Bank. The latest phase, known as Plot MU3B, will deliver a 15-storey building comprising one to three-bedroom apartments with balconies, communal resident areas, and commercial ground floor space.

The approval marks another milestone in one of Leeds’ most significant long-term regeneration projects. Aire Park is centred around an eight-acre public park and, once complete in 2032, will deliver 1,350 homes alongside more than one million square feet of residential, commercial, and office space. Civil and structural engineering on the phased masterplan is being provided by Curtins, working alongside architects Cartwright Pickard and Ryder.

Penny Cameron, managing director of Vastint UK, said the consent marks an important step in the long-term transformation of Leeds South Bank and that the 116 new homes will play a key role in bringing more people into the city centre.
